Hi @simba2018. So sorry you’re going through this. I have chronic pain as well…

If it helps any, your best bet for insurance questions would be to call account/financial services, or you should be able to find insurance information here: https://www.mayoclinic.org/patient-visitor-guide/billing-insurance/insurance/accepted-insurance

Is your doctor recommending another spine surgery, or is that something you’re researching right now?

I can relate to not wanting to be on pain medication if there might be another option. I’m wondering if you’ve ever thought about trying Mayo’s Chronic Pain Rehab program? It’s a different approach—the focus is on retraining your brain so it’s not as primed for pain and learning ways you can manage and improve if on your own without medication. There’s a Chronic Pain group on here you can look into. And I’ve found this post/thread to be useful if you’re curious about the Chronic Pain Program: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/residential-chronic-pain-treatment-programs/

I haven’t personally done it, but my pain management program at home is based on a lot of the same principles and I’ve heard many others were really successful with it. Wishing you all the best.

I've been referred to see another back surgeon to see if by looking at my MRI'S & Xrays if there is anything that they will be willing to do for me since nothing else seems to work. I dont live in FL, used too but had to move back north 6 years ago due to unplanned circumstances that had happened in my life then. I'm looking to move back prolly in a maybe 3 years from now, don't want to move too soon away from my only granddaughter I have right now. But not even sure how to get the Mayo Clinic to review my images if this appointment tomorrow (actually today lol) doesn't go in my favor. Whatever that can be done needs to be done before Oct this year.
