How to get a second opinion
I want to know how to get a second opinion, my colon cancer metastasize to two lymph nodes one in neck and one near stomach and a small lesion on liver. My doctor says all they can do is chemo and no surgery.

Simply contact another GI group, have you contacted Mayo Clinic? Where do you live? Check on other Docs covered in your network. There may at least be a different approach re chemo, possibly radiation as well
I agree with roywalton. If you have another hospital in your network, (If you need to have one in network) just go there and say you want a second opinion about your cancer. You could also check with your insurance as to where they might suggest for getting a second opinion. When I was diagnosed with Rectal Cancer in 2019 and they told me what procedures I would have to go through, I talking it over with my wife and we decided to get a second opinion. I made an appointment at Froedtert hospital and mentioned I wanted a second opinion and they said they do this all the time. I had a much better gut feeling with the second place although the procedures were exactly the same. I am happy I went there though. Good luck in your decision.
Thank you for your advice.
Thank you
Prayers for you. Just give it to Him. Leave it at his feet & never look back. Saying that I don't want to sound like you should stop everything you are doing now. Just continue whatever you are doing with your doctors & insurance to the best of your capacity BUT let it be in Faith & FULL Confidence that the Lord will not let you down this time & He will surely bring back better & brighter days into your life & the smile to your face. It may not be easy but this is your
surefire way out. Your unwavering faith in His Mercy & Love will see you through the fog & darkness. Things may even get worse in the coming days. But don't let that dishearten you & test your trust in Him. This too will pass. I will keep you in my prayers.
Thank you so much, i do trust my Lord in every situation and believe in his divine healing and protection. Amen
I would try to find an oncologist associated with a research hospital. There are so many new treatments for cancer now and private practice doctors may not keep up with the latest developments. If you live close to a research hospital, call them and ask for an appointment for a second opinion.
