@kendrakay, I thought you might appreciate connecting with other Connect member who are living with gastroparesis. It can be good to share with others, especially when first diagnosed.

See this discussion thread: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/please-read-mild-gastroparesis-with-severe-symptoms/ It started in 2012, but there are also more recent messages.

I'm also tagging @kathyzendner @margieg @joryboy @sherry8034 @ccosci who may wish to chime in.

I can’t digest milk which includes the Lactose and the Milk Protein that hides itself under many names. It seems that might be your issues as well. Mine started off with being able to eat some products and not others. Once I removed all dairy lactose and the milk proteins
Then tried to introduce later I had a bad reaction. Yogurt is easier to digest because it has enzymes that help with digestion. It seems to be you should get off all dairy because if you have a problem and remain on dairy you are creating an inflammation problem that
Could lead to disease. I would try to go off all dairy in all forms. Now the only thing you might try is raw milk that is unpasteurized at specialty stores because they still have enzymes to aid in digestion. However if you are allergic to the milk protein even raw milk will effect you. You might consider Almond milk or Flax Seed/Hemp Milk at great choices.
