Hi. I had a total of 5 treatments 6 months ago & saw no change. I was also told by a diff doctor that this treatment is marketed as ‘ozone’ therapy but it is actually oxygen treatment. This DR said that water has to be added to oxygen to be ozone & putting that in our blood would kill us. Anyone know if this is true? Regardless…at least for me…it was a waste of $$$$…

@chrisself Hi Chris, Ozone has nothing to do with adding water. Oxygen in the air is chemically labeled O2 which means it naturally occurs as two atoms of oxygen linked together. If natural O2 is exposed to a high energy source such as strong ultraviolet light or a high voltage field then some of the molecules break apart and recombine to make O3 which is Ozone. It is not stable in this mode and will revert back to O2 within minutes or hours. That is why it is typically made in the office when needed using a high voltage machine. Ozone is toxic because it is a strong oxidizer but small amounts of it are used to stimulate the body to send anti-oxidants to the area affected which may help healing and does kill germs. In this mode it is a little like bleach but it dissapates rapidly and leaves nothing behind but oxygen, O2. (No chlorine involved!) So it is much safer than other oxidizers.
