Hi I am at 2 year post chemo from TNBC. I see someone one every 6 months for five years. They check my breasts and I have a diagnostic mammogram because the breast that is left is dense. Every year.
Check your breast armpit and all around chest rib area . If your insurance covers it have your Dr do a breast check or see if oncology team will check your breasts.
I don't know what stage you were. I was 2 A no lymph nodes involved.
They did chemo, masectomy, radiation, xeloda and zomeda every 6 months for three years. They also say if you notice any pain any where that lasts over a week to call and have it checked out.
Thinking of you and I hope this helped.

Dear Dolohina,
Thanks for your reply , mine was stage 2 with lymph node removed and lumpectomy done on left breast. My oncologist never examine my breast on follow up consultations. I am from India and here breast examination is not carried by male doctors usually. That why i have to depend on self examination. I have heard of a technique of comparison using mirror image photos. do you know anything more about this method ?
