My husband got his license back with no restrictions. I do no ride with him. I drive when he has appt out of town. It is a daily struggle as he begs me to “ride”with him. I tell him he can concentrate better when he drives alone. It is overwhelming as then he starts crying then. Very hard to deal with. He is off his antidepressant due to qt with his heart. He calls them his “mind altering” drugs. Even though dr. Has told him they are not. They help him balance chemicals in his brain. He has been off since may 17. His moods are up down crying jags. He says he is never going in them again. So I struggle with both his driving drama. and his moods.
He has lewy body dementia.
I am praying his pcp can get him to accept an antidepressant that does not bother the heart. We have dr appt june 19.
