The crazy thing is I found out by accident that I had the tumors.
In 2012 I went in for an MRI of my kidneys and they saw them. In 2018 I was reviewing my medical records which I had to pay for and saw the notations. I was never notified by anyone. I had to ask the doctor about it before there was any investigation!

Good work! I so appreciate your post. This points out the need for each person to their own advocate for health care. The medical environment is stretched to the limit these days and all of us need to follow up on our medical care.

I'm glad that you reviewed your report and then talked about it with your doctor. I always look at my medical reports on the patient portal and look for anything out of the "normal" range. These are usually highlighted with a "H" for high or a "L" for low. If my doctor does not contact me, then I usually send a message to the doctor's office through the patient portal to be sure that all is OK.
