The proton system at Mayo is advanced radiation. The unit cost to purchase and install this system the way Mayo has done is the best and most costly. Unfortunately, there are radiation equipment manufacturers that claim their system is Proton but the operation of such equipment is nowhere near the efficiency that a patient would experience by going to Mayo.
