I've had various treatments over the last four years. The first pulm doc did the Big 3 antibiotics for MAC but I did not tolerate them. He did not go with the right options because he did not know that there are options. He even said, "you have to take them like this or not at all." He was so wrong. Dr. Swenson said I probably should not have been put on the meds at all. He had me start nebulizing sod chloride twice a day, using a flutter device and inhaling Tobramycin twice a day as well as a PICC line for IV antibiotics for pseudomonas. None of that was for MAC. The nebbing was just to keep my lungs as clear as possible. All this worked for awhile but the pseudomonas kept coming back. Tobramycin continued off and on throughout the four years. A recent round of oral Cipro did a great job on the pseudomonas and my cough went to "nothing" VS coughing all day and part of the night. There is so much to learn but you're on the right site for that. Best of everything as you find your way.

Do you remember which IV antibiotic you were given for pseudomonas? Did Dr Swenson prefer the IV over the oral?
