@cindymattern Hi and thank you for a possible alternative (Praluent)! More research, from everything I've read there's much more harm than good with statins. Many of the awful side effects can linger or just show up after being on the med for years. I don't want to take themāinstead of staring at the bottle think I'll try altering my diet first. High cholesterol runs in my family š
I'm thin, have osteoporosis and a few other health issues including balanceā the thought of another drug which could possibly/probably will interfere is frightening.

I also have osteoarthritis all over it seems. I get really sore but I've found an occasional Aleve really helps. I can't take them every day as I can't really tolerate nsaids well. The Praluent can have some of the same side effects however it works differently and I've had no issues taking it. I went back on it as when I mow grass of exert myself I have to watch my heart rate as it goes up to 190-210! I need to call someone and ask why this is as my resting heart rate is 70. I know it goes up when exercising or exertion but that is a bit excessive. Good luck in finding just the right combination so you feel your very best.
