Prednisone and other steroids can also elevate blood sugar. What has prednisone been prescribed for? Make sure that the Dr. who prescribes these medications also knows that you are diabetic. Perhaps there are alternatives that won’t affect your blood pressure adversely. Have you noticed any changes since cutting your pills in half? What kind of changes has there been?
