Concerned about the side effects of anastrozole

Trixie, try to get at least 6 weeks without meds. if at all possible. It took me nearly a full month to feel like myself again. If not... oh well...enjoy whatever reprieve you can get!! I did start to feel ‘better’ within about a week, just not quite normal until about 3 weeks being off meds. Thanks for the tip on Femara! Next time I see my oncologist I’ll ask her about it.

I have a question - for those of you where CBD Oil is legal, have any of you tried it for joint pain. If so - does it really work on pain? I'm just wondering. The CBD Oil I'm asking about has no THC.

It is legal in Wisconsin as long as there is no THC in it. The cream version works great for me. But everyone's different. I would give it a try.

@kathyomaha55 Just as a note of caution, check with your doctor before using. In my cancer group, it was mentioned that CBD could lower immunity.

CBD has been available here for a while now. The issue, in my view, is obtaining products which actually contain it. As you know, CBD oil is not regulated (like supplements), and a number of groups have tested some products. They concluded that most did not label their jars/bottles/containers as to contents/ingredients, or they labeled them without noting percentages, etc. and that there were various results from the testing (including some products which contained no CBD).

I was interested in something which might relieve the burning from my CIPN. The first product which I bought provided zero relief. The second was a gift and it was okay but unimpressive. The last jar I purchased seems to help with the burning in my fingertips (after 20-30 minutes), but not my feet. One might say caveat emptor, but it's not like distributors allow you to pre-test. The point here is that you may spend your money on something like hemp oil or CBD, but there is no guarantee as to what is going to be in the bottle (it might be 98% coconut oil for example).

I have been using CBD oil since November, primarily for arthritis in my hips, and yes, it does help. It does not alleviate all discomfort, but it certainly makes it easier for me to be active. When I started the folks I bought it from advised that it would take 5-7 days for me to notice a difference. And that was about right. I also use the cream at times for sore muscles. CBD oil does work for me as an anti-inflammatory. As others have said, be careful what you buy, there is just hemp oil, which is not the same. Buy from a reputable distributor. There are also different concentrations, so pay attention to that also, I’ve seen bottles of 250, 500, 750, 1000 mg. Then there is the question of dosage, best to start lower and work up if you need to. Best advice is to go to a cbd store and talk with the folks there, or do an online chat with someone from one of these reputable companies. It took me awhile to understand some of the nuances and differences in products. Good luck!
