It's been 4 months and I had five artificial discs implanted into my neck. Structurally the disc placement was perfect but now the muscles, tendons etc. have to change to accommodate the new discs. So I'm not magically pain free nor do I have the mobility I want so it's a work in progress. I am not rich so although I knew I wanted the surgery, I had to figure out the financial end of it.

Although 5 discs is not a common surgery, it was an easy recovery. There were other surgeons that I checked out but only one offered the 5 artifical discs and he had the skillset and experience to pull it off.
