@nonnajanet4, Hi. You might want to ask your health care provider about Smyogi's Syndrome or Dawn Syndrome. Some diabetics do experience elevated morning fasting glucose readings because blood sugar actually drops later in the night which triggers the liver to produce glucose, thus raising serum glucose level so it tests high on the morning fasting level. I am not a doctor and am not diagnosing, just sharing what happens to me and what my physicians have told me about it. Wishing you the best!
