Anyone on Pluvicto (Lu 177), a new drug for prostate cancer?

Had my second treatment of Pluvicto on Monday. Typical IV treatment and that was all good until my claustrophobia kicked in while they did the scans three hours after.
So I am about 36 hours after and this one hit me harder than the first. The fatigue is monumental. I'm exhausted, but long ago decided to just sleep through these bouts of extreme tiredness. Which is what I've been doing since the treatment.
Some less genteel details: Urination has not really changed, but I didn't expect any changes in this time frame. There is improvement since the first treatment, though not as much as I hoped. I seem to be dealing with constipation also, which is the opposite of what I noticed the first time around.
Since it is only my wife and I (bless her caregiving heart), we don't have much issue with staying six feet apart. We do have a new kitten and I've been staying away from him, but the treatment notes say I can pick him up and hug him and hold him and squeeze him starting tomorrow at noon.
Round two. I'll keep posting as my treatment continues or I have other symptoms from this round.

I have received 4 doses of pluvicto in a clinical trial. I am also on hormone therapy snd am responsive. Started treatment December 2022 for my stage 4 pc. Currently psa is undetectable. I have bad dry mouth and fatigue but will finish clinical trial

Currently being treated in clinical trial for stage 4 PC thst is still responsive to hormone treatment I’ve had four doses so far with side effects of dry mouth. Lipase has shot up from treatment but plan to finish all six doses. Psa is now undetectable. It’s hard to know if hormone therapy is responsible for remission or pluvicto. Been in treatment about 5-6 months and started with psa of 84 and numerous Mets to bones.

Have you had scans? Mayo did scans after 2, 4, and 6th treatment.

Yes. I’m at md Anderson in houston. Comparison scans showed fewer lesions with less uptake. More scans later this month. All good news so far.

I just had my second round of Pluvicto and it is not working for me. We're not going to continue. My biggest problem is the increase in the size of my prostate has caused problems with peeing and pooping. A lot of problems. I seem to be almost totally blocked off from pooping. Dr will not consider a prostatectomy at this stage since he says they always end up badly. He give me maybe three months. Honestly, three months of this is hell. I'm not sure I'm willing to wait it out.

Stonewalker, everyone who has cancer wonders and worries about how can the system help when you are in pain and you are very uncomfortable, particularly when you are in late stage cancer. If I were you, I would speak to my doctors and their professional staff, with my family present, about what they can do to help manage this stage of the cancer battle. There are several civilized ways to handle your present situation and your medical staff and family can help you decide which one would be best for you. I have thought out what I would want if and when I got to your stage, however, those decisions are very difficult and I am sure that I would need family and professional help in the decision making process. I might be going on pluvicto depending on my test results I would like to hear from people who have been on it and how it worked in the side effects. Thanks. Dave
