Hello @hazeleyes1989, Welcome to Connect. I used to have a huge problem with binge eating late at night and probably justified eating more if I exercised but I really never exercised that much when I was having the eating problem. I've struggled with weight most of my adult life and it's only been the past 2 years or so that I finally figured it out for myself. I wished I would have started making the changes when I was young like you are. A few years ago I was following @LeeAase's health journey (https://www.social-media-university-global.org/my-health-journey/) and one of his blogs opened my mind and got me thinking -- An Unfortunately Named Book: https://www.social-media-university-global.org/2020/02/an-unfortunately-named-book/. It led me to intermittent fasting as a lifestyle change followed a little later by eating a lower amount of carbs and healthy fats. Lee also added my story to his health blog here - https://www.social-media-university-global.org/2020/08/john-bishops-journey/.

You ask a good question - is the binge eating late at night after a workout normal? Just an opinion and others may be able to chime in and share their experience, but I think sometimes you just are hungry after a workout and overeat. Then it happens again and again and becomes a habit. Habits can be hard to change, but you can do it. Here's an article you may find helpful:

Intermittent fasting has been amazing for helping me get to my current weight goal. It was a little challenging at first but became easier each day that I did it.
Have you ever tried time restricted eating (intermittent fasting)?

I appreciate the comment and you getting back to me.
After years of doing the same thing I may have finally realized for GOOD that I think it could be a combination of my pot smoking AND the exercise from.earlier in the day .
I have been on the fence about quitting but at that time of night it helps me to relax ( the weed ) then I start binge eating .it may be a combination of smoking weed AND exercising the day of ....
If this is how I feel and feel guilty for over eating I may need to stop smoking weed .thing is I have like half a joint now and I am fried..
I don't like the not being in control and just end up going for anything I can find in the fridge .it's frustrating .but nay need to just cut the weed all together now ...I see a pattern and I know the pattern but I still can't stop smoking weed at night .I feel like all the hard work I have done walking around all day with my son in his stroller and then comes time to relax and smoke one and all the snacks are out of numerous trips back to the fridge 🙁

Maybe weed just isn't my thing anymore and have to accept it ..
The thing is I just quit smoking cigarettes about 3 months ago now .I am definitely proud of it and I kept telling myself that the weed has helped me quit ...so I feel like that's my only thing I have now .I don't drink I don't smoke cigarettes now so the weed I am still hanging on to
