I have been on 1 mg of Kolonopin since 1991 and am 66 years old. I originally took for panic attacks. Now I just take for if I need for sleep. I have 3 autoimmune diseases and one being Hashimoto’s. I do have problems sleeping. But there are times when I don’t take them for a week or two and I don’t feel any withdrawal symptoms. I do take them normally 3 or 4 days a week and then not the rest of the week, because I still work part time and need to sleep to get up at 3:30 am in the morning.
I believe the problem is when patients take more pills daily, or begin to take more on there own to get the same euphoric feeling they used to get. I don’t and never have and they still work the same. So in turn a problem occurs. Then there are doctors that prescribe patients with taking these multiple time a day. I believe you can’t do that with this drug, nor increase dosage on your own to get the same euphoric feeling. That is when I consider an addiction begins.

Yes, I believe that. I am 66 years old, and never really took pills, when I did, I never took more then what was prescribed .
