I had my surgery end of January and just recently able to almost walk normally. I never had pain in my hip but my knee pain woke me up at night for years. I had no idea that a bad hip could make your knee so painful that you wanted to cry. Just take one day at a time. I’d love to know how you feel two months from now. Hoping like myself you will feel much better.

Hi...oh YES, it can make your knee hurt!! It did mine....and still does at times, but not bad at all. Much easier than my hip pain, that was HORRIBLE (the surgeon said it 'was a mess'. when he got 'into it'....I would grab a cane (but a pretty one, with pink flowers!! 🙂 ....I refused to buy an 'old man cane'....had one, but gave it to my son, who has MS....and with my other hand, hold on to furniture while I did housework, I couldn't just 'give in', but it hurt like hell. OMG....you had your surgery the end of Jan., and NOW can walk almost normally? I know everyone heals differently....but wow. Oh, I still hurt....but depends on how much work I'm doing inside and outside. I ALWAYS wake up with low-back pain (probably my OWN fault), I just go downstairs, grab some coffee and a cold pack from the freezer for my back, take it upstairs to the bed, lay against it and have my coffee. It helps.....and helps even more when I get up and 'walk it off'. I just hope & pray that you are feeling GOOD now!! I will let you know after a few months how it's going. LOL I feel like my surgeon has an 'assembly line' on Tuesdays....that's when he does all his 'hip surgeries', one after another....then I was told on Wed., he 'does all his knee surgeries'. It was awful, I'll admit, the day I came home.....but I'm GLAD that I had it done!! Thank you for listening, I appreciate it. Please take care and just heal up!! < 3
