I first nd Covid in January 2022. I noticed some palpitations a few months later . My primary sent me to a cardiologist. My EKG was in a normal range. They did discover I have some “leaky” valves. They were described as mild. I also had a few PVCs on the Holter monitor. The cardiologist did not want to prescribe any medication as my normal resting heart rate in in the upper 50s. I got Covid again in December 2022. I have notice since then I seem to get out of breath and an elevated heart rate with some minor activity. I developed anemia with hip replacement surgery in January. I was in iron for that and eventually my episodes of palpitations has decreased. I still have episodes of normal activity that sends my heart rate to the 90s. I am keeping records of the palpitations so that I can discuss with the cardiologist when I see him again.

I was also having trouble with heart palpitations and a slightly elevated heart rate after getting covid last summer (late June 2022). My heart rate would elevate more than usual after eating, when laying down, etc. My cardiologist said it was autonomic dysfunction caused by long covid and didn't have anything to recommend besides staying hydrated and taking electrolytes. I did that but it didn't seem to help. Then at the advice I found on one of the Mayo Clinic blogs, I gave up sugar and alcohol; that helped a LOT. I also started seeing an acupuncturist and herbalist who prescribed me Chinese herbs and taking those also really calmed my heart down.

Sorry to hear of your heart troubles. I'm a healthy female in my 30s and developed similar issues with elevated rate and many palps throughout the day after the P jab. They calmed down (EKG, heart sono, stress test - all normal) after minimizing caffeine, sugar and alcohol. Cardiologist recommended stopping for 60 days to see improvement then add back slowly as desired. It helped but started up again after COVID positive summer. Mild covid case BUT I took antihistamines the whole time and that seemed to really help calm my bodys immune response. Mild workouts like brisk walking also helped vs strenuous exercise. Hope some of that helps and let us know if you find anything else that does!

Side note - I also developed very low ferritin (5) and had to do iron IV 2x which did help symptoms improve.
