Hi Denise @denise66

I'm so sorry it turned out to be cancer. I'm curious what your PA had to say about all the details. Who are you meeting with next and when? Will they do genetic testing?

We need to bring others more recently diagnosed with BC in to help interpret all this because back in 2013 when I was diagnosed, they didn't provide all this detail and various scores -- at least my team didn't. I was just told mine was PR+ ER+ HER2- Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, medium grade, 7 mm. My surgeon said my tumor had a favorable personality.

As for the HER2 issue, I just looked it up and saw that 3+ is considered positive. 2+ is borderline. Not sure how that impacts treatment decisions.

ER/PR positive means it will benefit from hormone blockers since hormones are BC fuel.

Medium grade is much better than high grade.

I'm as eager as you are to hear input about the scores you listed above. Let's pull in some more people by listing their user name. Can any of you shed some light?

@squeaker2 listed some of the same type scores you did.

I'll add others that have BC and have been commenting on posts. They may or may not have received or know about such detail depending on era. Or they may have been on this site longer to see others comment about these.

I received my diagnosis in June of last year. I wasn’t comfortable with the breast surgeon at the time and got a second opinion. The diagnosis was DCIS in both breasts and my left breast has 99% sensitivity to estrogen. After healing from the surgery, I decided on radiation since the numbers for recurrence were so much lower. I finished radiation last month and I’ve been on the hormone blocker Anastrozole since May 1st. I followed the suggestion of someone in this group to take it at bedtime since it can make you sleepy. Hope that helps.
