Questions about breast biopsy and the diagnostic process and timing

I had a mammogram on Thursday. A suspicious mass was found. I go for a biopsy on Tuesday. When the radiologist told you about the mammogram result what did they tell you? It definitely looks like cancer? It is cancer and you need a biopsy? They are worried and it’s very suspicious for cancer?

If you had a biopsy how long for your results? If malignant, how long before you had your lumpectomy?

Thank you. How are you? What type of treatment did you have?

Would you mind sharing with me how long it took for your pathology results? I had my biopsy at Mayo on Tuesday afternoon. I was told by the PA she would receive the results today, Thursday. I’m meeting with her on a Friday.

I just checked my portal and my pathology report is not posted. How long did it take for your pathology report to come back?

Do you know if Mayo locks down the reports until the PA sees it? Or, are they automatically released?

My experience is that they are not automatically released. Physician called me with results and then OK'd to be put on portal.

How are you doing? I hope you are doing well. Did you have all your treatment at Mayo?

I asked the radiologist the same question. She said it is very suspicious for cancer. Said I need a biopsy which is scheduled for Tuesday. When I read the radiology report, she listed me as a Birads 4 which means suspicious. Do you recall your Birads score?

I haven't had any treatment at Mayo.
My cancer was listed as Suspicious-BI-RADS 4.
My first ultrasound guided biopsy indicated that the lesion was benign and 6 months later it had grown from 1.9 cm to 2.4 cm. so they thought that I should have surgery. My treatment was at a Health Sciences University and they had to send my biopsy to Stanford because the cancer was so rare.
How did your biopsy go?
