Good morning. No I have not heard of putting a stent in esophagus. I'm guessing that the cancer has damaged the wall of the esophagus requiring stent to direct flow of food and liguids to stomach. I was stage 4 due to tumor in esophagus and affected lymph nodes near by. They can do endoscopy and take biopsy and PET scan to better determine extent of cancer and what best treatment plan is. Hopefully it was caught early enough. Please let us know what the plans are?
