Eat papaya or papaya supplement. They really work. Try not to take pills, as your body gets used to pills, and you have to take it rest of your life.
Hi Buddyboy,
I don't know anything about the supplement you are referring to but I do have a safe natural suggestion for constipation. It is a glass of water with 1 or 2 teaspoons of baking soda in it: (Arm and Hammer baking soda, or any kind that you cook with.) Drink all of it. It tastes terrible but it works. Stay close to the bathroom when you do this. You can put a little lemon juice in it to make it taste better if you want. If it doesn't work after a while take a second dose. I wouldn't do more than 2 doses because it will work eventually. I'm 77 and have used this all of my life. My mother used to give it to me when I was growing up. Besides causing a bowel movement it also releases gas in your entire system which is good.
Good luck! I hope this helps!

I have been working on natural ways to relieve constipation for a couple of years after getting off of Miralax and Citracel. My Dr. Suggested SLO-Mag as regular Magnesium Citrate is too harsh for me. It works fairly well. Give it a try!
I have found 1/2 oz of Extra virgin olive oil plus 1/2 oz of fresh lemon juice plus pinch of cayenne pepper works well. It also heals Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease over time.
I have found that prunes help as does a full glass of hot water as soon as you get out of bed in the morning.
From what I can remember the instructions were to drink a large glass of hot water by gulping it down. I run the hot water from the bathroom tap.
By doing this you are shocking the internal organs, including the gut, into action.
I don’t think sedately drinking coffee from a small mug would get the same result.
All of the "p" fruits: pineapples, prunes, pears, plums. Drink lots and lots of water.
Also, I like instant relief so try 1-2 teas of baking soda in water. You will go in an hour, no cramping. Plus, settles your stomach.
While all of the suggestions above work for occasional, mild constipation, they are not effective in dealing with chronic constipation caused by motility and other functional digestive disorders.
@buddyboy you can take magnesium. In the right dose,it will work.
