Time to consider another doctor if this one is unwilling to listen and help.
Any competent and caring member of your medical team should be able to address mitigating care for the hot flashes, either medical or other actions.

I found a blog post that gabapentin helps with hot flashes. Ask your doctor for a prescription. Best to you. PS I have beengoing through the proton beam therapy with Eligard hormone therapy. I am experiencing multiple side effects and will ask my doctor to discontinue the injections. My quality of life is worth more than quantity of life.
Hot flashes are not killing, so don't get disheartened, atb worst they are uncomfortable and disgusting. And I don't believe any doctor can really help with the hot flashes, they are a natural side effect of the drugs (ADT) that's been given. I am on Zoladex SC 10.8mg 3-monthly and Abiraterone 1g OD for several months now. In the beginning hot flashes and fatigue used to bother me like hell, but these sysmtoms have mitigated a lot gradually. So don't lose heart!
