I have recently had extensive sinus surgery and a pseudomonas infection was found. I have taken a lengthy round of cipro and am using medicated sinus rinses. Has anyone had any experience with this type of infection?

No, I have never heard of that. I'm curious, have you had Covid? It seems (me personally) it attacks a lot of things in our bodies. I had sinus surgery in 1994 and later developed a 3 month sinus infection that wouldn't go away. The ENT swabbed my nose and I had 3 types of bacteria growing in my sinuses. He put me on Clindamycin - an antibiotic that wasn't used a lot and it cleared up. I also used prescribed nasal rinses (which was...back then....Neosporin rinse) and it worked great. It takes a while to heal up after sinus surgery. I am so glad I had it done as it has helped me to breathe better and to have less sinus infections. I am hopeful this will clear you up. Blessings & Hugs....

Hi @jeang45, pseudomonas is a group of bacteria that can cause various types of infections. I moved your message about your recent diagnosis of pseduomonas to this existing discussion:

Jean, is the ciprofloxacin working for you? Was the infection limited to the nasal passages or also found in your lungs?
