I had burning feet and big red toe and was told it was gout 20 years ago. Given Norotin - helped but bad side effects. Now take Pure Encapsulations alpha lipoic acid. After 2 weeks, the burning has stopped, the tingling and red greatly reduced plus no bad side effects except it's expensive. Brands make a difference. If don't use Pure Encapsulations, try Thorne.

Hi and thanks, I have been taking alpha lipoic acid but just a normal brand from a pharmacy. I know you're right, brands do make a diference, will check out your suggestion immediately, thanks so much, Much appreciated, Terry

I have numbness/tingling in ankles/feet all day. My favorite socks are by Allbirds and Bombas.

For me the most comfortable walking shoes are Allbirds Wool Runners and Tree Runners. For my street walking every morning I wear Asics.

I don't think I have gout. A friend had that and he was in bad pain. Thank you for the suggestions of what to take. I will see if I can find one of the two things you mentioned. Best wishes, @joybring1
