Drugs or exercise and vitamins?

@gigi4

I have decided to not take meds due to side effects. Doctored play down side effects due to the percent of people who experience them. But I’ve been in that small percentage twice so no thank you.
There is a book out by Margaret Martin - Exercise for Better Bones- and Dr. Fishman’s 12 Yoga Exercises for Osteoporosis on you tube.
Exercises need to be weight bearing. I also use ankle weights for specific exercises for my legs.
I take Algaecal, Bone and Marrow, Ultra K2, Vitamin D3, eat foods high in calcium. You can find lists of those foods via Google.
I’m several months away from another dexascan, so will see if mine is better.
Best to everyone on this journey!

Thanks sharing these useful information. Could you let us know your next dexta score and weather any improvements? Best luck to you!

I am terrified of the drugs offered as well and have also been in the small percentage group more often than I’d like. Have you heard of Grow Bone supplement system. It has impressive results. I’m trying collagen I and II with Fortabone and looking into Algaecal. Please keep us posted. I also like the 12 yoga poses.

gigi4, I wish you that you will succeed with all my heart and this will encourage many other patients with osteoporosis. Your opinion about meds agrees with mine. We have to try different roads.
I take more or less the same additives as you, but also collagen and magnesium. I eat dry prunes (7-8) every day as it was found that they help. In addition I use vibration platform. However, my next Dexa scan will be in 2 years and for this reason it is early to make judgments if this trategy can help.
