Husband, 71, given one year at best...

He went through hormone therapy, chemo, radiation and Enzalutamide and now there's a small chance of temporary improvement with new chemo and radiation. God helps us all🙏🙏🙏

As crazy as it may sound PSA went down a tiny bit of its own "volition"... but of course oncologist, excellent woman doctor, wants everything possible... new, different chemo, radiation so we'll se what happens. PSA is down from 74.8 to 66 which is of course irrelevant as this curse spread to the spine and broke vertebrae of lower back. We're at the hospital waiting for the CT staff since this morning to have him checked🪻🙏

No human being can predict exactly how long someone is going to live. I know of men that survived 17 years with bone metastasis. If he responds to new, aggressive treatment , who knows. It’s in God’s hands. Stay positive and hope for the best.

I was diagnosed with PC in 2020 and had a prostatectomy in in 2021. I had a Gleason score 9(5x4). My PSA for thé next 3 sample keep rising. So I had ct and found active cells in my prostate bed. So we did 40 treatments of radiation. 6 months later the PSA started rising again. This time I had PSMA Pet Scan and the found bone Mets on my spine at T1-T2. So I went back to radiation for another round. About fours months later the PSA started rising again. This time I started ADT & I’m on Orgovyx. After just 2 months on PSA is undetectable and my testosterone is down to 10. ( I’m starving the cancer). I have a few side effects but nothing I can’t handle. Don’t give up. Get a second option and keep fight. I’m still stage 4, but I refuse to give in to the cancer

Thank you Melcanada,
Oncologist said to stop taking enzalutamide as it wasn't doing anything good for my husband... PSA almost doubled during that time.

Neither nor. They started with hormone therapy, moved on to chemo with texotere, then 5 radio sessions to groin gland, left side, which helped reduced the size but other glands are enlarged on his right now. Therefore, the new biopsy will hopefully tell them more... Thank you🙏

1 Testosterones is the fertilizer of prostate cancer Zolodex and oher try to stop

2 Men who don't get prostate removed when they know they have prostate cancer usually don't get it out as they fear they will loose sex life Is this the case? Better to be alive

Give up sex Get it out with radiation or operation ASK doctors

I am not sure my reply to you went out properly... so no, this wonder guy is not anywhere in this forum. I guess he was just one of the lucky guys... and maybe 24 years ago this maledite illness wasn't always as clever as it is today😬😬😬 these damned cells are like cockroaches, they evolve, mutate and adapt again and again, no matter what is done to them.

NO, the thought of having no sex was never an issue here. Removal wasn't a treatment option. My husband was on anti-testosterone hormones from the very start but unfortunately that wasn't enough. 🙏
