But the tumor is still there and causing pain. It's very confusing to me - that the doctor will let someone be in that level of pain when there is a medication that helps. Some days he doesn't take any because he has no pain, but if he gets the really bad pain, he may need 2 or 3 of them at once, which means he doesn't have enough for the mild/moderate pain days.
