MRI was useless detecting anything relevant for neuropathy in feet.
I was disgusted with results of MRI. The findings were slim: mild sesamoiditis, stress, arthritis, and artifact in little toe. That's all when I can barely walk? My sesamoid bone is hugely inflamed even with taking Pregabalin, and lidocaine patches don't help. My toes are numb (almost like frostbite) and I truly thought the MRI could pinpoint the damage as my last resort. My pain specialist hasn't been much help either in controlling or finding the root cause of peripheral neuropathy. Why is this SO difficult, and are there any caring and mindful doctors left who actually know what they're doing? Not in my case.

Please talk to your primary care doctor about vitamin B injections. It's helped me quite a bit.
My pain would sometimes feel like a severe muscle cramp deep inside the bone and would last for hours. Vitamin B hasn't made the the pain away, only more tolerable. Vitamin B helps heal damaged muscles and nerves. Each injection helps me from one to three weeks with no side effects. Hope it also helps you.
The long term problem with cortisone type shots the more you get the more they deteriorate bone. For this reason they are limited. Not so with acupuncture
Thanks Tony, never thought of Vitamin B injections. I'll check with my pain specialist about it. Appreciate your comments very much.
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Please let me know if it helps and we can tell others. It took years before a doctor recommended it. I would encourage you to insist that your doctor try it by giving you a couple of injections. It has no known side effects and it's okay to have excessive amounts of vitamin B. I've been to pain doctors and several neurolgists, only one neurologist suggested vitamin B and that was pills, the pills did nothing. My primary care doctor told me the higher injected dose is needed. She was right. The official name is Cyanocobalamin 1,000 MCG/ML VL
Have yet to speak with pain specialist, but he's calling today so will definitely ask him about Vitamin B12 injections. Shall find out if he could prescribe a specific regime for me. Anything to reduce nerve damage would be extremely helpful.
Thanks again, Tony.
Hi. Are you talking about B12 injections? There are several B vitamins. I was told by my neurologist to avoid B6. Your symptoms sound exactly like mine. Thank you!
Yes, I have MGUS too, which came with the Covid vaccine. Have not had any advice on how to get rid of it.
Did you have spinal surgery to help fix your neuropathy? I was considering having an MRI on my spine to see if maybe I have something going on with the nerves from my spine.
B12 the generic name and my dosage is Cyanocobalamicn 1,000 MCG/ML VL. Typically lasts me 2 weeks, sometimes 3 weeks, sometimes 1 week. The pain can continue a few days after an injection.
