I had cold sweats and they started in 2020, although I didn’t go to the doctor about it they went away after about two years, now they are occasional but I did notice they mostly started when I was stressed, I’m not sure if that’s the problem but when I took a lorazepam it would stop, not recommending this med but I use it and it did stop the cold sweating. I believe we’re all very stressed with our health and so many problems going on in our world so it’s not unlikely we have many new symptoms in ever changing world.
I know a lot of women would wonder about menopause, pre- during or post-. I will say with my PN, I have issues with extreme heat and cold flashes in the extremities. Gabapentin, which I’ve been on for 6 years, has helped a lot with the severe discomfort and magnitude of the temperature intolerance. Just 2 days ago I saw a TV ad about a new menopause drug that supposedly has been approved to help hot flashes and chills. While mine is PN and not menopause, I plan to ask my doctor about any cross benefits that might be known.
I had a scary experience last night. It was very warm in my house yet my body was literally shaking with cold but my face was burning up. I am older (88) and now alone so I was very frightened. I called 911. Of course they wanted to take me to the hospital but I refused. They checked my vitals and I was normal. This morning it was hard to get out of bed. I feel thirsty but not hungry. My blood pressure is low. I will probably spend most of the day in bed and see what happens.
I have had a serious problem with chills for the past 2 years. Despite thorough testing I have no diagnosis. In the past 6 months I have had freezing chills 2 to 3 times a day. The only solution is to take a hot shower for a few minutes to increase my core temperature.
Does anyone have a clue as to what is going on here ???

Well I suffer from Hot flashes through out the day. Lack of appetite, energy, stiff muscle, joints pain OMW. Eating the wrong foods isn't helping me either but I just don't know what I want at the moment. Keeping my head Up and Smile 😁.

I have also but mine is more flushing and only sweats 1-2 times per week.
Have seen 6 doctors with no cause identified. Ken

Welcome, @carmelbythesea. I moved your second post to your original discussion about having chills and sweats. I hope you saw the helpful posts from fellow members @thisismarilynb @dbeshears1 @frouke and @strawnkg.
Carmel, may I ask what conditions have so far been ruled out by your doctor(s)?
Too many to mention. I have had over 40 lab tests.
Thanks
I have this as well and several doctors have not found the cause. Hope the best. Ken

Sorry to hear that. We may both be headed to the "Undiagnosed Disease Network."
