Prior to my first PMR flareup I was pretty sedentary and didn't actively exercise but did occasionally play golf and do some limited walking. My weight was always an issue and I struggled with it. The prednisone helped me put on another 25 or so pounds and I was already overweight.

The second time my PMR flared up six years after it went into remission I started eating healthier - no more fast foods, eliminating most of the sugar and added daily exercise to my normal routine. My daily exercise consists of 30 to 45 minutes on an exercise bike along with some stretching and exercises with light weights, nothing to strenuous.
