Neuropathy moving from feet to legs
I have neuropathy in my hands and feet from three sessions of chemo I had about three years ago now. I have a lot of pins and needles in both my hands and feet but no pain which is a blessing I guess. These pins and needles are none the less annoying. I drop a lot of things and am unable to open things without help. I live by myself and have had to formulate my own ways to do so many different things. I am now experiencing these pins and needles climbing up my legs and that worries me. Has anyone else experienced this? If so have they stopped there or is it possible for them to go else where in my body?

You mentioned a balm you are using. Could you please tell me where you get it and the name. I would like to see if it would work for me. Thanks
Hmmmmm! Did I not put that in my reply? Here you go. The balm that works for the tingle tangles is by Papa and Barkley. There are two options. One is for acute pain and irritation. It is
1:3 CBD/THC. The other is 3:1 CBD/THC and it is for chronic pain and irritation. These are both medical cannabis. You can read about them at http://www.papaandbarkley.com. The other option that I have used is created just for you at a specialty pharmacy. It is lidocaine based with other ingredients as ordered by your doctor. There may be other over-the-counter options including Voltaren. I haven't used it since it became an over-the-counter product but it used to be my go-to.
Hope this is helpful.
May your struggles and sorrows be eased.

Cris, can you give me the name of the balm you use. We have cannabis stores here in Canada so maybe I can get some there. Thanks
I would be interested in trying this cannabis balm as I also live in Canada. Never been into a store to inquire if they sell such. I have neuropathy in feet which has moved into legs. Feel numbness and cramping in balls of feet. Noticed twice yesterday my foot slipped off the gas pedal. Could be related. My neuropathy is related to 11 chemo treatments for pancreatic cancer. Whipple done September 2018. My hands get numb too but only after sleeping all night. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
Think you got the info for this balm on the above emails.
My chemo treatments caused this also and I only had three because I had ovarian cancer and the doctor felt he got it all but just wanted to be on the safe side. I so wish I could go back and change my decision to get the chemo but it’s too late for that. I only deal with the numbness and burning so I’m not sure this balm would help my hands. My feet both became dropped so I have that to deal with too. Anything is worth a try I guess. If you can get this balm in Canada please keep in touch and tell me if it works. All the best.
I certainly will.
What is the name of the balm?
Good evening @icelander19. I don't think I have welcomed you to Connect. Are you also part of the neuropathy group? There are so many of us. I have been told that because nerve regeneration takes such a long time, most folks will encounter some form of neuropathy along the way.
Papa and Barkley have served me well for many years. The company has consistently top-shelf products. Their customer service is great and they provide a great deal of updated and current information.
The balm can be found on their main website, http://www.papaandbarkley.com. There are two different "recipes". For chronic pain and other neuropathic irritation, choose 3:1 CBD/THC. For acute pain, choose 1:3 CBD/THC. Let me know if you have additional questions.
May you be free of suffering and the causes of suffering.
Chris
Thank you for the reply. I am apart of the neuropathy group and I am so happy I am. So many people have reached out to me with a hug or to help. I feel I am no longer alone now in fighting this debilitating illness. For sure, I will try the link you gave me. All the best to you and have a great weekend! Hugs
Try to get lots of rest and good sleep and get some drugs to reduce anxiety if you can. Also eat healthy. No refined sugars or alcohol.
