How common is permanent remission?

@johnbishop

I've had 2 occurrences of PMR. The first time it took me 3 and half years to taper off of prednisone and the PMR went into remission for 6 years. The second time with PMR, it took me 1 and half years to taper off of prednisone and the PMR went into remission again in 2018. I think lifestyle, diet and exercise play a part in helping to keep PMR in remission. It's just my opinion but I think you always live with the possibility that it will return.

Bummer. Getting old sucks! Just one damn thing after another, isn't it?

Thank you for your response. Can you please elaborate on the lifestyle, diet, and exercise you felt helpful?
