@sandy148 Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect, a place to give and get support.

You fell after a hip replacement and fractured your femur. You are concerned because you have not regained your full strength and mobility and you are looking for information and member support.

You will notice that I moved your question. I did this because members like @belavita67 @khalt @sueinmn @jtgr @popolopo @suzanne2 @klarnold @lbosrig are discussing pain after a total hip replacement. These members may be able to give you the information and support needed.

May I ask how long after you fractured your femur, were you able to resume physical therapy?

I was able to start physical therapy in a limited fashion shorty after the break a with a stay in a rehab facility for 2 weeks. PT then came to my house for an additional 2 weeks. I am able to walk without a problem although if I sit too long my leg gets very stiff. I had to have a rod put in my femur to stabilize it So now I have double hip replacements AND a femur rod. I just can't seem to get any strength back in my femur. So I am thinking if I get a stationary bike to use every day that it might help.
