I would get the dye. I did mine without contrast and I really regret it as it actually shows very little without it. If the whole point is to get help you want them to have as much information as they can get, definitely worth it. Much better to have to detox from that then not get the care you need. Just passed my 1-year anniversary of Covid (Long Covid) and conditions - symptoms only get worse as time passes. I would love a heart, brain and lung scan (with dye or nuclear medicine) as I want to know right now where my vital organs stand. I'm guessing my age (75) prevents such investigative research as I have bought and paid for premium insurance for over 50 years and now that I need it - I only get aspirins. My guess is doctors think I'm stupid and will go along with the placebo treatment little do they know with so few future years - that's not an option for us still functioning senior citizens. So I wouldn't fight the dye or radio-active medicine if it gets you a chance for the truth, because that is something I haven't seen in my care over the last 12 months.
