My general opinion of antidepressants is that they are poisons, the precise way they work in the brain/body and on what is not known, they have horrible side effects, unknown consequences for long term use, deleterious effects on physical health, they are dependence forming and therefore often have a withdrawal syndrome - clearly I have decided against their use. I actually did try a few to help with insomnia/sleep anxiety but couldn't get past the horrendous side effects, something that feels that bad couldn't possibly be good for me. I took it as a sign to stay the hell away from them. I am in the process of addressing chronic debilitating insomnia and its downstream effects on mood/anxiety behaviorally aka through therapy. But I'm interested in why your title is Meditation for Depression. Do you meditate for depression? Can you provide any details on that?

I think it could have possibly been a typo? Maybe the OP meant to type "medication"?
