I really regret having this operation too. I wish I had gotten a third and fourth opinion. I don't have anything for pain relief except when I travel my doctor will take pity on me, but I will ask about gabapentin at my next appointment. When I look back over the past year and a half, I would say that the stabbing pain has lessened a little bit, but the overall thigh pain and stiffness is still there. Did anyone know of this potential complication before their surgery? I certainly didn't and I did a ton of research beforehand.
