@kauaimac

Had ball replacement in 2004 and just recently noticed the pain has gone. I had a periodic shot of cortisone for the pain until I decided I didn't want anymore cortisone in my body so I went back to the pool for aerobic exercises which have helped cut the pain 80%. Now the pain is almost gone and I hope forever soon.

@kauaimac I had to delay a knee replacement due to having cirrhosis and then a liver transplant. During that delay I exercised a lot in a pool and on my recumbent bike and by the time I had the TKR I was not in nearly as much pain as I had been. I even put the surgery off for six months from when I could have had it because I did not feel like another hospital admission yet.
When you strengthen the muscles around the knee it really does make a huge difference.

Do you live in Kauai? We were there in October 2017 and fell in love with it.
