I have heard that the anterior approach seems to have more problems than the posterior approach. though, of course, the anterior approach has an easier recovery. I did anterior but will do posterior for my right hip to hopefully prevent the thigh pain I am experiencing some 3 years post surgery in my left hip
anterior. i think i'd go posterior next time. I hear the healing up of the anterior approach is easier (and mine was) but that it seems to lead to pain in the thigh years down the road. Don't take my word for it but it's the conclusion i'm drawing after all I've read.
