@bruceandruth, I think you might find Sue's @sueinmn post earlier in this discussion helpful. Here is a link to her post - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/comment/785572/. In the post she shared the following references that you might find helpful.

--- Daily oral consumption of hydrolyzed type 1 collagen is chondroprotective and anti-inflammatory in murine posttraumatic osteoarthritis: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5383229/
--- Specific Bioactive Collagen Peptides in Osteopenia and Osteoporosis: Long-Term Observation in Postmenopausal Women: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8441532/.

My wife and I both use the Vital Proteins brand which contains type 1 collagen but more for skin and nails health which it does seem to be helping quite a bit according to my better half. I'm sure there are other brands just as good. I normally look for good reviews and the lower costs.

Good Morning~
I've been taking CODEAGE for about 8 months now....unflavored. It disappears in my coffee....I feel good taking it. Now looking into adding MCT oil. Let me know what you think. Have a wonderful day!
