Thank you for info. I only eat small meals and I've lost 20lbs, which helped. I take protonix also, I just don't won't to take them the rest of my life. Lol. Will check out website.

...I had a Nissen 8 years ago.. it was seriously botched at the local hospital in Central Iowa.. I lost 50 pounds in 2 months as they tried to figure out what went wrong.. I couldn't keep anything down... then went to Mayo MN.. the GI doctor figured out the problem..in one day.. 3 tests.. the diagnosis was "post-operatve gastropanesis".. the surgeon doing the Nissen damaged many nerves that are needed to empty the stomach.. the failure rate for Nissen is 1 out of 6... those stomach nerves do not repair.. there is no fix.. every meal is a challenge.. I still take Nexium.. very small bites..chew very well.. smoothies and the blender are your refuge.. you cannot lay flat anymore.. I elevate head .. bending from waist..on a wedge about 10"-12" above flat mattress. Do everything possible to solve the Gerd before doing a Nissen.. it is not a magic solution.. ken
