I started taking more propranolol along with my lexapro and maybe this is stopping the lexapro from working. I’m usually a quiet person in meetings and I’m getting upset about things I’ve never been upset before. But the worse part is my mouth says very angry words that I later wish I didn’t.

I checked the 2 meds you mentioned and there is no contraindication that they cannot be taken together. But maybe you need a dose adjustment and/or maybe you need some therapist time with your meds? Since you just retired what is your plan B to keep your mind and body active in this new phase of your life?

@stsopoci Yeah, I can relate to the "little to no filter" aspect of reactions! It can come out in words or actions. A deep breath, count to 10 [or 20!], step back literally or figuratively when possible have all worked at times for me. And honestly, sometimes there is a sudden trigger that pops up, one I was not expecting. My mind goes into the old fight-or-flight mode and there is no stopping it.
Be gentle on yourself. You'll figure it out.
