pain relive for neck back from the herrington rod
hi new here, i am looking for pain relivf, i have a herrington rod put in my back 51 years ago ,now i have trible pain on the top of the spine neck shoulder erea, my scoliolsis was bad 80% curve when i had the rod put in, i am 66 now with artheritis to on my hips. so with that the pain i can handle, but my herrington rod gives me a great deal of pain ,worse then it was over the years.does any one know about any thing i can use to get rid of the pain./ please help if you can ,or have the same problem.

Hi there! I just ran across this thread while looking for something else, and I wanted to let anyone with an old Harrington Rod know that we started a private support group on Facebook that you can ask to join. Just look for Scoliosis/Harrington Rod Support in the Groups section. I had my Harrington Rod placed in 1979. We came together there as a patient led support group, because no one seems to want to help us—they are only interested in helping adolescents currently going through treatment. We felt like throwaways to the medical community, honestly. We don’t offer medical advice of any kind, but a lot of us have found help in talking with each other and finding out what works and doesn’t work for someone else!
