I had to go 'old school' and give up my phone/laptop calendar and appointment scheduling. I am 62 and did not enter the digital age until my 30's. My default operating system is pencil/post-it/paper. Getting off a screen for scheduling appointments and reminders has been very helpful. I also set alarms on my phone to get me out of the house on time or to remember to look at a day planner. Speech Therapy was a huge help! It never occurred to me that there are may stroke patients with memory impairment that are able to use different approaches to help. I put a post-it on my door with where I am going when I leave, then put it on the car dash to keep me from getting lost. My memory in and of itself has not improved but my management of it certainly has.

After 2 1/2 years Long COVID, I have a 6-Session appointment scheduled with Speech Therapy. Not until August (2023) though. They're that booked out. That will take me to almost 3 years before speech therapy. And that's only if I remember! 😏
