Hi~
I'm assuming you have every faith in your Gyn, but if not, CHANGE YOUR DOCTOR.
If you do like her or him, know that he or she will not fool around long with biopsies if they suspect any type of cancer - that is to say, if they are good. Blood tests are a diagnostic tool with cancer, as well as biopsy. Your doctor will find out one way or another right away if they even suspect cancer..
If your doctor puts you off waiting for weeks at a time between appointments or does not get to the bottom of your problem right away, I suggest strongly that you CHANGE YOUR DOCTOR..
Ask around all the women you know, especially those who you know to take very good care of themselves, who they might recommend. Also, ask your other doctors who they would recommend as a good Gyn.
Another doctor will have all your records right away (after you have them sent from your past to your new), so don't worry they won't be 'up to speed' on your current problem..

Very wise words. My doctor blew me off for months until I got my devastating diagnosis. Do not wait and don’t worry about what they think. To many of them we are just numbers and dollar signs. Thankfully I have not been treated that way at Mayo.
