That’s what I was thinking…in fact, have already found an Ortho that said he’d see me… even after reviewing my record from rev. I told them I had a procedure that needed to be done 1st..(GI), so if that gets fixed, I’ll see Ortho.
BTW, I had to say I was sorta putout about your comment in response to me saying that I was a shut-in. I’m not happy about being like this. The worst part besides the pain, is not being able to do what I want…I used to be pretty active, not exactly a jock, but, you know, just walking the trails w/ the dog (who has since passed), riding bike…I miss that.
Somebody posted yesterday about all the things she’s seen about implants….I believe she said she just had 1 & was quite happy. Well I know there’s a lot that’s not good…after all, I had mine for 16 yrs…of course, I didn’t do any research, as I said in previous post…I had a 2 yr old & a-newborn, so I was sorta busy…
But I do want to share something that happened to me & id like ANY feedback…i hope it was an isolated incident.
I went back to Dr. that did original implant to ask if he knew of anything I could do to help expedite the process of flushing metal ions from my body, due to metallosis… he told me he had “Never heard of it, and didn’t know what I was talking about”.
That was one of the most awkward & surreal moments in my life, I think. I mean, he IS a practicing Ortho surgeon…not just someone I met at the grocery store! WTH
