I have an ileostomy. I overdrank and the result was pancreatitis. Any advice? Other than don’t drink! I’m wondering if there’s online group therapy for recovery.
I am in chemo now preparing for an ileostmy. What is the most important thing I need to know regarding either the chemo or the ileostomy?
Hi BJ, I sent you a private message.
I went through 8 rounds of chemo , followed by 28 days of radiation with chem pill … after that I had a 6 week break prior to my ileostomy surgery and proctolectomy. It’s important to stay hydrated and follow a low residual diet to avoid blockages . I had a tumor - rectal cancer with no option for a reversal - good luck to you! Stay strong! Pump up the protein to help with healing!
I’ve only had a few drinks with my ilestomy with no issues.. I hope you can get the support you need to recover .
