Has anyone experienced CAWP- Chronic Abdominal Wall Pain? I have had this discomfort & swelling on my right side for 4 + months. I have had MRI, Cat scans, colonoscopy, exploratory surgery, bloodwork and all I hear from the doctors is “they don’t see anything “. I read it is one of the most frequently mis-diagnosed ailments.

Hello spirit22,
It sounds very much like you are suffering from Abdominal cutaneous nerve entrapment syndrome or ACNES. There are 2 ways to identify. One is by trigger point shots to the inflamed area and second the Carnett test. You can get much information by googling ACNES and Carnet test (best on YouTube). I was fortunate to find a surgeon in Phoenix who performed Robotic Laparoscopic Surgery severing the effected nerves. Was an outpatient and went home that afternoon cured. I’d be happy to discuss further if you are interested. Jeff

Dr Eric Boyd, Phoenix gave me 4 rounds of trigger point. First worked about a week then less after until 4th did nothing.

Hi Liz, The first trigger point worked amazing but only lasted a day or two. The next few shots were ineffective but the first shotit indicated that I had ACNES.

Thanks. I am definitely look into booking with Thomas Gillespie. Liz
