@andytheman congratulations on the weight loss and getting your blood sugar to 95 - 105. To answer your question, I don’t think a nutritionist is the right provider to make a diagnosis of diabetes or set blood sugar target range levels. But a nutritionist can help you develop parts of your care plan to include diabetes nutrition information, portion control, weight loss strategies, exercise ideas etc. if that is what you need. During your hospital stay did you have any consults with dietary services? How are you feeling at the lower weight, being off metformin, having better blood sugars and walking the track daily?
Awesome! My highest weight was about 375. 25 years ago. Thru Atkins lost 30, other various low carb (south beach) got down to 300. Never a ton of exercise though. From there I yoyoed up and down to 275 about 5 years ago. That timei worked out 2x day. Well, back up to 310 and starting over again.... I know exercise is key
